Adorable Minnie Mouse Cookies- (No cookie cutters involved!)

Who doesn't love Mickey and Minnie Mouse!?!?! I thought it would be easy to find a Mickey Mouse cookie cutter...boy was I wrong! I was on a mission to find one and every store came up short. Walmart, Target, Michael's, Party City- NOPE and eBay just couldn't ship in time. So I was forced to get a lil creative. And I gotta admit, I'm glad that push came because it was A LOT less work than baking, cutting, and decorating a bunch of cookies.

Supplies you're going to need in order to create these adorable little cookies!

1.) OREO FUDGE COOKIES (THEY ALSO COME IN MINT-WHICH TASTE JUST LIKE GIRL SCOUT THIN MINTS!!!)
2.) CANDY MELTS (I ADDED SOME EXTRA PINK FOOD COLORING TO MAKE HOT PINK)
3.) CANDY PEARLS
4.) CHOCOLATE MELTS (FOR MINNIES EARS)
5.) A BOW MOLD OR YOU CAN CREAT YOUR OWN BOWS USING THE CANDY MELTS AND A PIPING BAG.
6.) ZIP LOC BAG/ PIPING BAG
7.) WAX PAPER
8.) FOOD COLORING (OPITIONAL)

First take your Candy Melts and melt them according to the directions on its package:

Next, take one cookie and dunk it half way into your candy melts. (This will be Minnie's Dress!)

While the candy melts are still wet, drop a few candy pearls on it, to create Minnie's polka dots.

Prepare all your cookies. When finished dipping and adding the polka dots, place your cookies in the fridge.

Using the remaining Candy Melts you can start creating your bows.

Create your own piping bag by placing a Ziploc bag inside a cup and spoon the candy melts into the corner of the bag and cut the tip off.

Start creating bows. place them in the freezer for about 5 minutes so they harden faster.

WHILE YOUR BOWS ARE SITTING IN THE FREEZER, START ATTACHING MINNIE'S EARS-

Take some wax paper and place 2 chocolate melts next to each other (as close or far apart as you want her ears.) Place as many sets of ears as you can fit onto one sheet. I fit 6 sets onto my wax paper. You will be placing this sheet into your microwave so make sure it's not too large.

Place them into the microwave to melt them. YOU WANT THEM SOFT, BUT NOT TOO SOFT TO THE POINT WHERE THEY FALL APART. I HEATED MINE IN INTERVALS OF 10 SECONDS. NOT EXCEEDING 30 SECONDS.

Now, gently push your cookie into the ears to attach.

Once all the cookies are attached to the ears place the whole wax sheet inside the fridge to help the chocolate melts (Minnie's ears) harden.

Once all the melts are harden you can start adding the bows. Dap a small amount of candy melt between Minnie's ears and attach the bow.

THERE YOU HAVE IT! A CUTE LITTLE MINNIE COOKIE!

I made my cookies on Friday and the party was Sunday. We just kept them in an air-tight container in our fridge and they were still fresh and everyone enjoyed them!
